Endowment Funds
Concordia Lutheran Seminary prizes endowment support. It is enduring. Year in and year out, the interest earned on the principal becomes available to your seminary for the purpose to which the endowment directs its expenditure. An endowment is a perpetual gift to help advance the essential ministry of Concordia Lutheran Seminary. An endowment is a store of money that’s never expended, but which is invested, instead, in high-security instruments. The interest earned each year is spent; it’s money that the seminary can count on, year in and year out.
The endowment that you establish starts with a principal balance and earns interest during the year.
You can add to your endowment at any time, and in any amount, and so can others: family and friends can be invited to help grow this endowment.
These earnings would be used by Concordia Lutheran Seminary on pursuits that would directly benefit our students. The money might go to financial aid, if that’s where the money would be most needed in any given year or it could fund something like the opening student retreat or the parish ministry immersion experience.
